Michigan Mandolin Orchestra Christmas Concert
Join the Grand Rapids-based Michigan Mandolin Orchestra in their 6th season as they perform the 2024 Christmas Concert. The MMO, a sixteen piece orchestra with mandolins, mandolas, mandocellos, guitars and bass is led by Michigan’s mandoliner Brian Oberlin. A highlight of the concert is the second movement of Antonin Dvorak's String Quartet #12 and Leroy Anderson’s masterfully orchestrated medley, A Christmas Festival. The orchestra will also delve into Christmas favorites that swing and sing-a-along like Jingle Bells and a medley of Vince Guaraldi as well as in-house arrangements from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra; Christmas Eve and Wizards in Winter. Like all MMO concerts, there will be plenty of music with smaller chamber groups and solo pieces by music director, Brian Oberlin.

A Murderously Festive Holiday Comedy
Silver bells are ringing at this seasonal standup performance, but the jolly jokester gets upstaged by an event far worse than bad holiday comedy: a murder! With humbug hovering over the holiday, it is up to the unamused audience to unravel the mystery of whodunnit like last year’s tacky knitted holiday sweater. While murder is making the night not-so-merry-and-bright, you must gather information, bribe your guests for clues, and solve the crime before this comedy act becomes a tragedy!
Find your most festive holiday clothes to make this event a colorful spectacle as you seek to solve the crime! Ugly sweaters, garb gifted from the in-laws fit only for the back of the closet, and garish color clashes will be all the rage at this event.
